Dr. Daniel Heck has been selected as a Rising Star in the Association for Psychological Science (APS).

Daniel Heck's research focuses on innovations in statistical methods and cognitive modeling of processes underlying decision-making, memory, dishonesty, and social desirability.

Heinz-Heckhausen Award for Daniel Heck

Daniel Heck will be honored with the Heinz-Heckhausen Award for his dissertation "Processing tree models for discrete and continuous variables" at this year's conference of the German Psychological Society (DGPs) at Frankfurt. The Heinz-Heckhausen Award is awarded biannually by the DGPs and honors outstanding disseratations in psychology.

Award for Lena Nadarevic and Malte Zimdahl

Dr. Lena Nadarevic and Malte Zimdahl (together with Dr. Monika Undorf) were honored with the "TeaP Selected Poster Award" at this year's conference of experimental psychologists ("Tagung experimentell arbeitender Psychologen (TeaP)") at Marburg. The prize is anually given by the DGPs and honors posters that convince by their excellent scientific practice and signficance regarding research, comprehensibility, display, and layout.

Teaching Award of the Student Council for Edgar Erdfelder and Daniel Heck

We are very proud that this year's Teaching Awards of the Student Council go to the Psychology III chair! Edgar Erdfelder received the award for his lecture on "Learning and Memory", and Daniel Heck got the price for his seminar on "Cognitive Illusions". For Edgar Erdfelder it is his fourth price, for Daniel Heck it is his first prize for his first course.

Best Article Award for Monika Undorf and Edgar Erdfelder

Monika Undorf and Edgar Erdfelder received the "Clifford T. Morgan Best Article Award" 2015. They got the price for their paper: “The relatedness effect on judgments of learning: A closer look at the contribution of processing fluency” (Memory & Cognition, DOI: 10.3758/s13421-014-0479-x).
